IST 175 - Networking Technologies This course prepares students to perform tasks commonly executed by IT network professionals which includes system and network administrators and network engineers. Covered are fundamentals of data communications, computer networks, and the management and support of hardware and software networking components, TCP/IP configuration, setting up wireless and wired networks, managing networks, basic network security, software updates, and hardware upgrades. A general understanding of computer support and maintenance is recommended.
Students are prepared for the CompTIA Network+ Exam.
Students will take the TestOut Network Pro certification exam.
