ENG 097 - Academic Literacy *Developmental Education Course Academic Literacy provides students integrated instruction in reading, writing, and critical thinking as it prepares them for college-level coursework. Students engage with scholarly texts from a variety of genres with emphasis on independent reading followed by critical responses. Students will create focused, well-developed essays using the conventions of academic prose. Successful completion of this course will allow students to enroll in a credit earning English Composition I course.
