MAP 130 - Med Asst Specialty Exam/Proc Provides the student with information regarding the sources of law, types of consent, malpractice, the physician-patient relationship and ethical issues surrounding patient care and clinical research. The student will understand the history of medicine and medical assisting, components of the healthcare team, patients’ rights, and scope of practice as it relates to medical assisting.
Co-requisites: MAP 140 , MAP 230 , MAP 240 , and OAD 264
Prerequisites: MAP 105 , MAP 110 , MAP 120 , MAP 210 , HIT 125 , BIO 211 all with a “C” or better
