CJS 104 - Juvenile Justice System Examines the juvenile justice legal system regarding parental and public official responsibilities for child welfare and protection through apprehension, detention, adjudication, reporting and court mandated procedures. The history, philosophy and development of the juvenile justice system are examined as well as the various laws and court decisions relating to child abuse, child neglect, juvenile rights and alternative sanctions.
