The Business Management program is designed to assist students in gaining the necessary knowledge and competencies to succeed in an entry-level position or be promoted to a higher-level management position. The courses will familiarize you with general management theory and practice, as well as critical knowledge in accounting, marketing, human resources, and the economic and legal aspects of the modern business world.
Students with a Business Management degree are prepared to work in a diverse number of fields including general management, human resource management, management in the retail, restaurant, and health care industries as well as managerial positions in other business operations and government services.
Students working towards the Business Management Technology degree will also earn their Management Certificate , which could assist students who are job-seeking as they complete their education.

Students who wish to transfer to a four-year program in Business Management should consider the Business Transfer Pathway, AS (Owens Code: BUTP) . The associate of science degree program provides the basic curriculum needed for the first two years of a bachelor’s degree in business. This program is transfer-oriented and is ideal for aspiring business students who intend on transferring from Owens Community College to a college or university setting.
