Powerskills Certificate Information

The Powerskills Certificate will provide students with the necessary skills, “power skills” as industry has termed them, that the 2018 report “Fulfilling the American Dream: Liberal Education and the Future of Work” from Heart Research note employers proclaim recent graduates are lacking such as being able to:

  • communicate - both written and orally;
  • think critically;
  • collaborate in teams;
  • access, interpret, and cite information;
  • make ethical judgments;
  • apply skills learned to real world experiences and
  • solve problems with people from different backgrounds.

In addition, this certificate provides a solid foundation in Ohio’s general education core.
