Program Goals and Outcomes


Student Learning Outcomes

At the completion of the Legal Assistant Technology Program, the graduate will be able to:

  • Demonstrate competency in the use of computer application software.
  • Demonstrate effective communication.
  • Apply workplace skills, related to the field of office administration.
  • Identify and perform basic problem solving and critical thinking skills to solve problems.
  • Demonstrate effective research skills and competencies related to the job.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the use of legal terminology.
  • Demonstrate the ability to create legal documents based on legal research.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the characteristics specific to the legal workplace, including attorney-client relationships, legal fees and technology.
