Emergency Medical Technician - Basic Certificate (ZEMT)

The Paramedic Program of Owens Community College Paramedic Program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (www.caahep.org) upon the recommendation of the Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the Emergency Medical Services Professions (CoAEMSP).

The course is designed to help the student gain knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to be a competent entry level Emergency Medical Technician. The course follows the Department of Transportation (DOT) standards as well as the national standard curriculum. Those who successfully complete the course will be eligible to take the National Registry exam and receive state certification through Owens Community College.  Students must have a current American Heart Association health care provider CPR card. Only Individuals interested in EMT-Basic certification should register.
