Certificate Information:

The Owens Urban Agriculture and Sustainability Certificate offers students a hands-on learning experience where they will be engaged in everything from community gardening activities to raising livestock in the urban environment. Students interested in learning how to grow, maintain, harvest, store, and distribute local produce and animal products and who have a love of the outdoors are encouraged to enroll. Career opportunities are focused on assisting with the development of community garden initiatives, agricultural entrepreneurship, CSA’s (community supported agriculture), farm laborer, and various other up and coming avenues for employment.

Petition for Certificate Completion

Students are eligible to become a candidate for a Certificate when the student has completed all necessary requirements. Students who are registering for their final semester of course work must submit a petition for certificate completion by accessing their Ozone account.
