The courses in this certificate may be applied to the Associate of Science degree general and Biology Concentration.


This certificate is designed for those interested in careers in Wildlife Management who are interested in positions as Wildlife Managers and Park Rangers. Those completing a degree in Law Enforcement are strongly encouraged to take this certificate as it prepares them to take their entrance examinations for positions with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Division of Wildlife Management.

Student Learning Outcomes:

  • Students will be able to identify basic plant life found in Ohio.
  • Students will be able to identify common animal life forms found in Ohio.
  • Students will be able to identify basic ecological systems found in Ohio.
  • Students will be able to identify the basic requirements for the protection of Ohio’s natural resources.
