MAP 130 - Med Asst Specialty Exam/Proc

Provides an introduction to eye and ear assessment, tissue healing, the gynecologic examination and prenatal care, the pediatric examination, and minor office surgery.  The student will learn how to prepare the exam room and assist the physician for the specialty examinations. An introduction to emergency medical procedures will be discussed.

Co-requisites: BIO 212  and MAP 140  and MTH 213  

Prerequisites:  BIO 211  and HIT 125  and IST 131  and MAP 105  and MAP 110  and MAP 120  all with a “C” or better

Credits: 3(Lec: 2 Lab: 3)
