ASL 214 - Practical Applications to ASL in the Worksplace


Students will view deaf and hard of hearing individuals in everyday situations and explore the interactions they would have with hearing people in industry specific situations such as doctor’s offices, dentist offices, orientations, classrooms, etc. Using ASL to communicate with young children on the autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and/or with speech delays will also be explored.
Corequisites: NONE
Prerequisites: ASL 111  and ASL 112
