IST 134 - Operating Systems

This course prepares students to install and configure PC operating systems as well as configure and maintain common features for mobile operating systems, including Android and Apple iOS. Students will describe and experience the basics of virtualization and cloud computing, desktop imaging, and deployment. This course will provide training in properly and safely diagnosing, resolving and documenting common operating system problems, while applying troubleshooting skills. Utilizing hands-on labs and/or simulations, students will be able to demonstrate the IT tasks employers seek. This will prepare students for the second CompTIA A+ exam.

Students will take the TestOut PC Pro certification exam.
