MET 130 - Material Science Examines engineering materials including manufacture, structure and physical properties, analysis and interpretations of diagrams and curves, heat treatment of steels, non-ferrous metals and alloys, non-metallic materials, the study of microstructures and other related principles. Lab consists of metallurgical sample preparation and use of the metallographic and metallurgical microscopes as well as other experiments using the principles learned in the classroom.
Co-requisites: NONE
Prerequisites: MTH 096 or equivalent or MTH 151 or MTH 143 . Please refer to Chapter 2 - Academic College Policy, 3358:11-2-06 Assessment Program for entering students.
