IST 133 - Troubleshooting Apps & H’ware


Covers the basic desktop computing hardware, including configuration, diagnostics and repair, preventive maintenance, and interaction with software and operating systems. An introduction to networking topologies, protocols and modeling is also included. Students will participate in hands-on projects in these areas. Upon completion, students should be able to select an appropriate computer, upgrade and maintain existing equipment, troubleshoot and repair non-functioning personal computers, build a working computer from parts, and be able to pass the hardware portion of the CompTIA A+ Certification.
