Insurance Certificate Information


This 6-class Insurance Certificate sequence will provide students with basic insurance, business, and sales concepts and strategies and to prepare for entry-level positions in Ohio’s thriving insurance industry. The courses in this certificate are fully embedded within the Insurance Studies degree . The Insurance Certificate would also be a perfect complement for students who are already enrolled in majors such as the Business Management Technology  or Marketing and Sales Technology .

Transfer Information

Students who wish to transfer to a four-year program in Insurance should consider the Business Transfer Pathway, AS (Owens Code: BUTP) .  The associate of science degree program provides the basic curriculum needed for the first two years of a bachelor’s degree in business.  This program is transfer-oriented and is ideal for aspiring business students who intend on transferring from Owens Community College to a college or university setting.
