Animation Major Information


This program trains students in multiple techniques used by industry professionals to produce animation for motion graphics, digital media, advertising, entertainment, gaming, and visual communications.

Student Learning Outcomes

Student will be able to:

  • Understand the basic operations of a computer.
  • Understand the fundamentals of illustration, typography, and graphic design.
  • Understand fundamental practices from the animation and digital media industry.
  • Know the fundamentals of 2D and 3D animation.
  • Develop concepts for animated projects using industry practices.
  • Understand fundamentals for expressive motion graphics and character animation.
  • Know and apply the principles of digital audio and video production.
  • Develop promotional material to showcase created work.
  • Reinforce basic oral and written communication skills.
