Owens Community College
Findlay students may have to travel to the Toledo-area campus on occasion to make use of special facilities, or to take more specialized classes. Students may also have to take some classes online or in a hybrid format to complete their program of choice. These situations may be minimized and/or managed through proactive planning and regular interaction with the student’s advisor.
Successful completion of a program of study at the College does not guarantee licensure, certification, employment in relevant occupation, or transferability/admission to other educational institutions or programs.
On-line Programs consist of programs or certificates that have 100% of their course work offered on-line.
Associate of Applied Business Programs (AAB)
The Associate of Applied Business degree provides students with the applied knowledge, theory and experience needed to pursue employment in specific occupational areas. While not intended for transfer, these degrees may transfer into the academic curriculum at other four-year colleges and universities. However, because course requirements vary, it is recommended that students pursuing an AAB with intent to transfer discuss goals with a representative from the desired transfer institution.
Associate of Arts Concentrations (AA)
The Associate of Applied Science degree provides students with the applied knowledge, theory and experience needed to pursue employment in specific occupational areas. While not intended for transfer, these degrees may transfer into the academic curriculum at other four-year colleges and universities. Students who intend to transfer may find it beneficial to take additional general education courses, but because course requirements vary, it is recommended that students pursuing an AAS with intent to transfer discuss goals with a representative from the desired transfer institution.
Certificates
Owens Community College offers a variety of certificates designed for individuals who want to enter the job market or those who need to upgrade their skill levels. Individuals pursuing certificates receive training consistent with current and emerging market needs.
